i've been reading around on the forum and many people said that school care about the RC, i was just wondering what would be a decent score for the RC given that everything else is ok?

View Full Version : how important is the RC section?? omegax8 10-03-2007, 03:40 AM i've been reading around on the forum and many people said that school care about the RC, i was just wondering what would be a decent score for the RC given that everything else is ok? D.D.S. 10-03-2007, 09:29 AM I've noticed that many of the schools that I applied to have a minimum cut off score for the RC. You should ask the schools you applied to and see what they reccomend/require. One of the schools I talked to wants their applicants to have atleast an 18 on the RC because they said that their current dental students that did well on the RC, are doing well in dental school so I guess the RC somehow correlates with how well you'll do in dental school.. I think its BS but thats what they say... Good luck. john9192 10-03-2007, 10:29 AM I would say RC is one of the most important subjects. I personally think my score of 16 in RC (19/19/18) is prohibitting from me getting interviews. I agree with the above post that you should aim for at least ~18 or above. Nowhat14 10-03-2007, 10:44 AM 18 in RC is still pretty low for some schools and too low for certain schools. They seem to love ppl with high RC. Low science scores are out of question...talking about dental school here, not like Ph.D in English. |
