How should I prepare for interviews? Thanks Try to develop a clear picture of where you think you would like to be in 10 years. Do you want to teach? Do research? Mostly clinical work? How can a certain program help you get there? I think that having a decent vision of where you would like to get to is very useful in terms of the interview itself. DrNick2006 10-31-2007, 08:15 PM 1) Know why you chose your specialty 2) Be genuinely interested in the program, and know something about it before going in 3) Be a normal person, i.e. polite and pleasant. txoncdoc 10-31-2007, 08:51 PM I completely agree with what was posted previously, but would also add... Always have questions ready! B/C they WILL ask you if you have any questions. And make sure the answer can't be simply found by opening up their website (cuz then it looks like you didn't even look at the website before going on the interview)! Do your research! Best of luck on your interviews!:luck: Monkeyguts 10-31-2007, 10:41 PM I completely agree with what was posted previously, but would also add... Always have questions ready! Nobody seemed upset by the fact that I didn't have any pre-prepared questions to waste their time with. rad0810 11-03-2007, 10:01 AM Thank you for the advice |
