PAT 20
RC= 17
QR = 15
OC = 24
GC = 23
Bio = 20

I took my DAT in San Jose, CA. The center was clean and quite but the computers were old. This is my second time that I took the DAT. DAT has changed completely. The most difficult part of the test were the Bio and the QR sections. Bio was difficult because it was completely random and required thinking. The first time I took the DAT I scored 23 in bio. And there is noting out there to prepare you for this section. QR was difficult because a lot of questions required more time to solve it. Some questions were worded very poorly. And they had large numbers to work with. And what you see in there is different from all the practice tests out there. I thing what helped me the most WAS MY COLLEGE TEXT BOOKS. If you really want to score high on this test you need to use your TEXT BOOKS period. You don’t need any other resources, you test book has a lot of practice questions with excellent explanations and follow up practices. One more thing, don’t worry too much about the PAT. They made the PAT section much easier. Last time, I scored 16 in this section. I would be happy to offer some study tips if anyone needs it. For the RC and QR I don't think I would be the right person to seek help.

Yes the DAT bio section was consist of both Anatomy and Physiology. The anatomy question was very basic, if you have taken anatomy you can answer it right the way. Physiology was a different ball game. I have some specific and very detail oriented question that required thinking.

My school doesn't require Anatomy for their Bio degrees...I should probably take it though?

Yes, i agree. i took the DAT's two years ago, and the bio was easy and so was the QR... and i took that in VA testing center. I moved to STL, and took it, and the Bio was random questions, i didn't get any questions like destroyer at all!! OR even like Kaplan.. just random ****. The QR was difficult, b/c it took more calculations, and b/c i didn't spend that much time going though that material.. didn't expect for it to be that much calc. B/c last time i took it general chem had the most calculations. This time it was the opposite. Umm.. go figure

Good advice. If you want to destroy this test then there is no better source than hitting your text books (especially bio.) It might be a bit overkill to go over your gchem text book (I think Kaplan is fine for that section) but it can't hurt. Congrats on the solid DAT Tom! :thumbup:
