Where does one obtain information on the osteopathic ophthalmology match?

Click on educational opportunities and you'll find a list of all the osteopathic programs. These are now linked to pgy-1 years. The DO match comes out after SFMatch and before NRMP.

Try searching this forum for additional information. You can PM me if you still have questions, although my focus has been allopathic programs. I am currently interviewing so I may not be able to reply immediately.

The DO match isn't on computer until the spring...the last intern class for DOs matched already on December 17th.

Can you elaborate, please? According to ERAS, DO match results are released in Feb (as it has been in previous years). I also have friends interviewing as late as mid-January for DO internships and residencies.

This may only be true for the current intern class who applied to PGY-2 positions starting 2008. However, not true for 4th year DO students. I still have DO ophtho interviews up until Jan 12th.

All 4th year DO students applying for DO ophtho will "officially" find out in mid-Feb about their match results. I say officially b/c there is a tendency in some DO residency programs to offer spots to students "under the table" WELL before the Feb match.

Lots of talk about DO ophtho this year on SDN!
