I liked the pocket book called Ambulatory Med: the Primary Care of Families. It's organized by chief complaints. each entry has diff. dx, pathophys, further tests, treatment. But there's a lot of good ones-I think Univ. of Iowa puts out a highly recommended one.For a textbook-Swanson's Family Medicine will help you with just about every rotation you do in 3rd year. Have fun!

I like the Iowa Family Practice handbook. It is a little big, but it has a lot of info. The whole book is available online you can check it out at http://www.vh.org/Providers/ClinRef/FPHandbook/FPContents.html
