So I thought I should start a thread about the FEB DAT in Canada on the 16th of FEB. I have been studying for about three months (the first month just barely studying). This is my second time taking it. I am going through all of Biology and Chem aiming for 21 in both. Reading Comprehension??? dont know what to do here.

I am taking this exam for the first time on the 16th!!! I have no idea what to review for the general chem and bio part.. i took those courses years ago!!!!
Btw I also just read taht the crack dat pat software is great! I think i'll try it out. But seriously what books do i use for the bio/chem part?!

kaplan blue book,topscore,kaplan subject tests,cliffs AP biology..should be enough

For the chem section are we expected to memorize the values of constants (e.g. gas constant) or will they be given in the question if we need to use them? There is an awful lot of them!

No you dont have to memorize constants, but you do have to memorize all the revelant equations.
Ilovedentists, IQ publications has a pretty good booklet that helped me with reading comprehension section. In my opinion the key to that section is time management and developing a strategy that works for you.

Are there any chapters in "schaum's outline of biology" (for anyone who has used it or has heard anythign about it) that we do not need to know for the biology section of the DAT? Or are there any chapters that go into more depth than is necessary? I posted this in the main forum as well but I figured I'd ask it here as well because this thread is based on the canadian DAT...Any comments would be appreciated
