Hey guys. I'm a new face on this forum. Just found this site by googling.
I'm a undergrad/ junior and taking DAT on summer 2008 for applying Dental school for fall semester of 2009.
I've read many threads concerning which book to use for preparing DAT.
And it sounds like Kaplan is not that efficient.
I have only studied with Kaplan so far.
so would you guys recommend me doing some more practice test on Achvrs & Tscrs?
And I'm glad I found so many ppl talking and discussing about DAT b/c my colleagues are so competitive so they won't give me any tips...
So I'll be needing your helps indeed...
Thanks for your attention...

hi, here are just a few suggestions. i'm applying for the 2009 cycle too.
study a biology college textbook for the bio section (example: campbell and reece).
chemistry - understand the concepts using textbook or schaum's outline
orgo - kaplan, college textbook,
after understanding the material very well, take the following tests: kaplan, destroyer, topscore, acheiver, and understand why each answer choice is right or wrong

Thanks for the advise. What about PATs and QR and RC?
I read many threads that Kaplan's PAT is bad but to me, PAT on Kaplan is bit hard.
Any suggestions?

Screw your colleagues and their competition.

Anyway, Kaplan is good review of everything. Once you finish the blue book you can go into the specifics and expand your knowledge. This is especially true of the biology section. If you'd like you can skip all the biology in Kaplan's completely and read AP Cliff's Biology instead. Wikipedia is also good for bio.

Try Crack the PAT and Achiever for PAT. Both are excellent practices.
For QR, try Kaplan QR subject tests. They helped me a lot.
