hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has gotten emails and/or phone calls from prog directors about their interest towards an applicant? I know I've heard to just rank programs by YOUR order of preference, but I guess it would be nice to know that your #1 actually wants you too. Thanks!

I have not gotten phone calls, but I have gotten snail mail and email thus far. They said something to the effect of "we enjoyed meeting you" "you stand out as one of the best among applicants" and "you will be highly ranked". not sure that it means anything, and am figuring several people received the same thing....who knows? As people have been saying so far on this thread, and as i'm telling myself, just rank your true #1 as #1.

well that's certainly better than the feedback I have gotten or I should say, not received :confused:
