In destroyer BIO #192 it says that lysosomes are found in both plant and animal cells, but in Cliffs AP Biology it says the difference between plants and animals is the fact that plants do not have lysosomes (p. 40) ...so which is right?

Cliff's is right. According to Campbell's in animal cells but not plant cells: lysosomes, centrioles, flagella (in some plant sperm) pg 100

i believe lysosomes are found in plants. Check Wiki as well. I have cliffs and kaplan they both disagree but new findings are leading to that lysosomes are found in plant cells. Plant cells have a vacoule, and lysosomes fuse with the vacoule.

I agree, many sources would say that plant cells do have lysosomes.

I believe that both Plant and Animal Cells contain Lysosomes. A little search on Google will prove that both of them contain lysosomes. In fact the only difference is that they may function slightly different. But both Animal and Plant cells can contain lysosomes.
