I was wondering if Kaplan offers financial assistance to low income families? I'd like to take the online course, but I don't think I can afford it. :(

I'd like to take the online course, but I don't think I can afford it. :( Yes, they do. Contact your local center for the appropriate forms. annospree 08-23-2008, 09:11 AM So I was thinking about re-taking the Kaplan MCAT course. I took the Kaplan MCAT class in 2005 but didn't complete it due to how far I was from the classroom center, getting burnt-out, way too many homework assignments to complete, etc. Anyway, I paid all that money for it, and have the textbooks, but not any practice tests or questions. I emailed Kaplan to see if I could get a discount on retaking it, since I already paid for the prep course once, and they said alumni get a 10% discount. 10%!!! That's it?! That's still freakin expensive! Kaplan sucks. pookiez88 08-23-2008, 12:50 PM Ah, you should've taken TPR. They let you take the course again for free. tparker02020 09-19-2008, 12:47 PM So I was thinking about re-taking the Kaplan MCAT course. I am in the same boat sort of but still 499 is still a lot of money, but I guess its worth it. PharMed2016 11-02-2008, 10:17 AM Is there a fee waiver/reduction for the Kaplan review course for those with financial need? GloryField 11-02-2008, 11:01 AM no. However major pre-med orgs (AED etc) usually auction off a kaplan course, or sometimes even have an app for a free kaplan course, where you write an essay. auctions come off as a discount, while free, is free. I paid for mine in freshman year when it was only $1100 or something, and then took the course in junior year. mfrizzo3 11-02-2008, 03:41 PM Library=Free |
