just a quick question about UT houston.
Is the program worth interviewing at if one has already quite a few options to choose from?
& what is the story on the probation front?

I don't know the specifics of this program. In general, however, programs tend to become stronger after being on probation because many changes are made to better the program and to try to recruit better caliber residents.

Can you elaborate on UTH's probation status. Thanks.

The program is being reassessed in February. They have totally revamped the system to where it is one of the most benign schedules I've seen (the previous problem was that the residency was too work oriented). A reviewer gave a preliminary assessment and apparently there would be no citations at all at this time....
