I read on this forum something about ot being able take a test and receive their manual therapy certification. Is there any truth to this? Thanks

OT isn't mentioned in there.... not suprisingly (a rip that we don't advocate ourselves very well :mad:) That can be an all encompassing term. Someone w/ a cert in one of those specialities, can use them within the scope of their particular license, for a particular purpose. I imagine that there are some on that list that aren't practical or legal for a particular discipline to practice in a particuar jusdiction. (i.e. chiropractors can make adjustments to the spine where PT's cannot. OT's cannot do light/heat therapy in NY but can in CT.) It can be a mess of who is lobbying harder, this week. |
