I've recently wrote up an interesting case report involving a mattress spring vs orbit complete with some pretty cool pics. We were hoping to submit the case report to Archives of Ophthalmology but they seem to no longer have a section for case report manuscript submission.
Anybody have any recent experience submitting case reports to Archives?
If not is there any other good journals this case report would be good for?
Cases Journal and Journal of Medical Case Reports will publish any case report

Archives of Ophthalmology actually still DOES publish case reports. They just changed how things are done. Case reports now are encompassed under the heading "Research Letters". Look through some recent issues and you'll see what I mean. They also explain this in their sections on instructions to authors.

Consider the Journal of Academic Ophthalmology:
www.academic-ophthalmology.com
The Journal is accepting case reports that emphasize good teaching points for ophthalmologists and illustrates competencies, particularly take home points for residents and fellows.
Also, check out the editorial board:
http://www.medrounds.org/journal-academic-ophthalmology/2006/06/editorial-review-board.html
This Journal is sent out to all the chairmen and program directors so you get nice distribution of academic content to all the programs.
