I'm not sure how to take a picture of the question but if you have CDP please help me out.

For question 70 on test 3; OK I get the illusion, but see the tallest 3 tower block? How am I supposed to know that there is another 2 tower block 'behind' it? I thought the general rule was that if it is not supporting naything then the block is not there. And from that angle there isn't any indication that there should be a block there.

These are one of the few screw ups from the CDP that I've caught. IMO

Lazerous, I totally agree with you that there is no indication that there should be a 2 tower block. Possibly, a single tower block... yes, to connect the all of the blocks together, but not a 2 tower block.

I highly doubt that there would be a cube example like this on the DATs. From what I hear, the cube section is pretty straight forward and has no tricky angles to make anyone come to a dilemma like this.

Well that's what I thought initially, that it was a screw up on their part.
I also have another question on cubes, there must be at least one cube connecting the whole object together, right?

Like in the picture I previously posted, we can safely and correctly assume that there is going to be one cube behind that 3 tower block to connect the whole object.

I haven't been doing so hot on the tests. Thus far I've only taken three tests: 1st= 17 2nd=18 and 3rd=19
So far I've consistently been going up by 1 point. The first test was also the first time I ever took a PAT portion of the exam.

That's good though, increasing your score by 1s. Eventually by the 10th test, you'll get a 27 =D.

Also to answer your question, Yes...the cubes all have to connect somehow. =)

My strategy in counting the cubes is to count the "two-sided faces or whatever" in rows. From counting the rows that go bottom left to top right. Since then, I've been scoring 14 and 15s on the cube section.
