I finally took the DAT on Aug 14th after many weeks of studying... I haven't really posted too much on SDN but I definitely learned a lot and got some helpful tips from you guys so thank you!! I really appreciate it!

QR- 17 :(
Reading- 22
Orgo- 30 :laugh:- I couldn't believe it!!!
Chem- 30 :laugh:
Bio- 21
AA- 24
TS- 26

I still can't believe I got two 30s... I was just hoping to get in the 20s!! My advice to anyone taking the DAT is to buy the destroyer. It's really awesome... I honestly attribute my success in the sciences to the destroyer. If you don't have it yet, get it!! I used kaplan and achiever also but destroyer was by far the biggest help. I think Achiever was good for the pat because you can rotate the different images. But I think the Achiever was much harder than the DAT in the sciences. I thought kaplan was good for reading. I was scoring much higher in QR in both kaplan and achiever but for some reason QR was extremely difficult and very time consuming!! I could barely finish it during the actual DAT! I hope this helps!! If anyone has any specific questions or advice for the DAT, don't hesitate to ask!!!

However, if you were to get a perfect score on multiple sections you would get a 29 on the first and a 30 on every perfect section after that. How is it possible for you to have two 30's and no 29's?

Sources. It is impossible to get a 30 on a section without getting a 29 on another section. It is sort of like a slight downward curve, just like in bowling. A strike can count for 30 (max) but usually doesn't unless you get the strikes in a row.

no you really can get a 30 in orgo however, what is up for debate is if you need to get a 29 in a section before that to score a 30 in orgo.

Yeah I scored in the 100 percentile in orgo and my score was a 29. Maybe it was that version but i dont think there is a version where you can get a 30 in both chemistrys. I may be wrong though so who knows lol.

Thank you for those of you who actually believe me... It's kind of sad that some of you think that I'm lying...My friend told me about SDN while I was studying for the DAT and I went on it occasionally and the advice I got from some of you really helped me out. So I decided that after I take my DAT, I'll do the same and explain what helped me. I honestly don't care if you don't believe me but for those of you who do, I'm more than happy to answer any questions you might have. (Hopefully I can answer them)

Guys, I am new to this SDN and I am also planning on taking dat soon. I saw that most people use kaplan, cliffs, barrons, achiever, destroyer and other topscore pro tests. I bought kaplan already but i think it isnt enough so any suggestions on which ones to buy. I looked for destroyer but found that it was quiet expensive. The ap cliffs is only for bio or only for individual sections? I couldnt even find the right one on amazon, also need help with other ones. Any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance

Did You Use The Odyssey -orgo??

i used odyssey at first and i thought it helped a bit but it really is overkill for the DAT. but then again if you can do those then you'll be fine for the real thing.
