:(:(Hi everyone,

This is the worst thing that can ever happen!! I'm really hoping someone can give me some hope. I originally scheduled my test for Tues, Dec 9th, but due to a family emergency I forgot to reschedule it before the 48 hour deadline. I tried to sign on Prometric yesterday thinking I had well over 48 hours to reschedule, but by reading the instructions on the website I found out that they meant ...48 "business" hours:(. I paid over 1,500 for the testing fee plus score reports. If I cancel my exam what will happen?? Will I have to forfeit my score report fees too?? I'm a student and I don't have enough money to re-send out all the scores again if I have to forfeit these fees. If anybody has been in this situation before please give me your input. Thank you:o

"No-shows, or examinees who cancel less than two business days prior to the scheduled testing date, will neither be reassigned to another date nor will they receive a refund." -- ADA DAT examinee guide

Sorry to say but you will probably lose the 1500 if you decide to cancel now. I don't know anyone who has rescheduled without losing the fee within the 48 hour period. Call prometric ASAP, and tell them your situation; who knows, maybe they'll let you do it due to your unusual circumstances.

Over 1500 for the report? Did you apply to 30 schools?

Honestly call your center tomm. and tell them you can't attend the exam. Call ADA also to see what you can do, good luck

try to reschedule on line, usually the system will let you do that. I know the instruction, but I reschedule 24 hours before my exam. $ 25 will work well for Prometric center. :)

Thank you Danny, but I already tried to re-sched. online today. It said that my test cannot be cancelled or re-sched. Can you tell me how you were able to re-sched. 24 hours prior to your test? Thanks again.

That happened to me too. Call the ADA and tell them your situation; you'll need some sort of evidence that you're telling the truth - they'll give you a fax number to send it to. After they have it they'll reset your authorization.

Make sure you contact them within 5 days of your scheduled exam date though, otherwise they won't let you do it.
