how saturated is the northeast when it comes to finding job opportunities in a private practice (specifically ny and nj)?

i am intersested in pm&r, but im wondering how difficult it will be to find a job or how my income will compare to other parts of the country (midwest or south)

things may change by the time you are ready to get to work, you know.
;)

why don't you pick what you like and worry about the rest later? there will always be choices. if you have to stay in a geographic area, you can always work for less money and someone will hire you. but if you don't like the work you are doing, every day will be an eternity.

if you want to be in ny, nj you will as a rule of thumb make less than south and midwest. of course there are exceptions to every rule.
