1 mol has 6x10^23 atoms
1 mol has 6x10^23 molecules
does this mean atom = molecule?
but when a question says 3 molecules of C6H12O6, it has 72 atoms instead of 3 atoms. I am confused. Does 3 molecules of C6H12O6 have 72 molecules as well(but it says 3 molecules already so I think that doesn't make sense).

A mole is 6.022x10e23 of something ( molecules, atoms, donkeys, SDNers). A molecule consists of 2 or more atoms. 3 molecules of C6H12O6 have 18 atoms of carbon (3x6), 36 atoms of hydrogen (3x12) and 18 atoms of oxygen (3x6)

love it 6.02 X 10^23 donkeys, by the way you answer is absulately correct!
something which students make it very compicated.

if 1 mole is 6.022x10e23 donkey
and if 1 mole is also 6.022x10e23 SDNers
doesn't that mean SDNers = donkey?
if A=B, B=C then A = C.

No it doesn't. Mole describes the quantity, not the quality.
Based on what you said: you have 2 arms and 2 legs, which means that legs = arms.

 exactly what I used to say to my students, but never used donkeys as an example. :D

Just think of moles as being like the word "dozen". You can have a dozen of anything. Make sure you understand things that like, 1 mole of H2SO4 will dissociate into 2 moles have H and one mole of SO4-.

1 molecule of glucose has 6 atoms of C, 12 atoms of H, and 6 atoms of O. Therefore 3 molecules of Glucose would have (24 atoms/molecule)*(3molecues) =72 atoms.
