View Full Version : post interview feedback from washu or mayo internalmed1111 01-26-2009, 05:49 PM Hey all, Just wondering if any of yu have received any post interview feedback from WashU or Mayo? Thanks! kb7878kb 01-27-2009, 08:04 AM I did not interview at Wash U. I have received feedback from both the program director and one of my interviewers at Mayo. I also had a ten minute meeting with the program director and ran into someone else on the interview trail who interviewed with me at Mayo and had a ten minute meeting with the program director as well. Has this been your experience with Mayo? It truly does seem like a great program and I'm sure part of this recruitment process that they undertake may be because Rochester, MN is a less desirable location. Therefore, they may have some difficulty attracting top candidates despite having an excellent program. dragonfly99 01-27-2009, 08:49 AM Agree with above... I don't think that WashU makes a habit of calling folks back or otherwise contacting them, at least not that I know of. When I interviewed for IM several years ago, there was only 1 program that ever contacted me postinterview, and it was one of those less competitive programs that would have trouble filling well, plus it was in the geographic area where my family lives, so they were probably hoping they might have a shot @getting me (US grad, pretty good USMLE scores, no red flags on the app., etc.). For IM most programs need quite a few interns so making callbacks on that many folks would be hard, plus some programs feel like it might fall into the category of trying to pressure applicants, which they don't want to do. |
