As I am about submit my rank list,
a thought occured to me about sending a quick thank you e-mail to the programs I will be ranking higher.

Is it a good idea? My interviews went well and I also expressed my interest in being there and also to the Program director at one of the interviews.

Again is it a good idea?? at this point in time??

ps Being interested in a cardiology, I know it will depend more on me an applicant than the overall program itself ( not that it won't make a difference)

Thanks.

You didn't already send emails/thank you's after your interview? I think most people do this around 1 week give or take after the interview...so that they still remember them/fresh in their mind.

It's not going to hurt you to do it now (or probably help you). Why not? Unless you just don't have the time.
