I do agree with doc:laugh: otherwise you will be freaked out for nothing if u see them on the actual test like I was and get 16 on RC LoL . I wish I didn't know

My first DAT last night, I got frapped and I freaked out and bombed RC.

But don't worry too much about frap. All it means is that if you get a question about frap technique on bio section, you'll get ethics passage on RC.

I haven't seen piano but i heard its just similar to ethics but the passage is based on piano and some music terms.

I think the reason why people freak out about piano is because that is a passage where you actaully have to READ IT. I used the serach and destroy method. So for me to have gotten that kind of passage, it really took me out of my game a little. It is pretty difficult in my opinion. Good thing I took piano lessons when I was younger and actually knows a thing or two about the piano structure. Other wise I dont think I would've gotten a 19.

No I thought it was a headache. I think the piano was on my first DAT (RC=19), my second I didn't have any really tough ones, but I remember that damn piano passage. It seems like such a straightforward passage, but somehow they ask the goofiest questions.

1. The test is curved so your grade is based on what EVERYONE did on it.

2. James studied more for the 2nd test and went up from a 19 to a 21 (nice), which isn't much of a difference.

hence, don't hassle over this. You have no idea what anxiety you will get if you are scared of piano and end up getting it.

I've always wondered how they did that. Because you get your scores right away, what if you're the first with that passage?? Say you're in the first group with a new passage and you all do poorly, they wouldnt' adjust your scores if the people after you did even worse. I wonder how they do that.

Considering they change the tests less than once a year, they probably don't have to worry about that. but you're right, the first passage is a tricky one. Maybe they never do change them...

Well and if you retake you have to wait 3 months. Isn't that so they can change the test? What if you got the same passage? Or do they know that you've taken it and avoid giving you the same questions? I don't remember any repeats, but my tests were 10 months apart... Passages were different though

People were talking about FRAP on here for my last test (July), and they are still getting it now. So they don't change the exams every 3 months for sure.

I'm assuming there are just different versions of the test and they know which version you took previously.
