Who all is from texas studying for the DAT?

Also applying to Texas D School?

I am taking the DAT hopefully in early april before they cut off the dates to take.

As from the look of it today there are not many people taking the DAT in texas, or they just dont visit this site..

I am taking the test on april 5... applying to all 3 tx schools, nyu and vcu

houston. pat. i think of this section as a mental break during the test. i guess because i am highly visual.

I'm a texas resident, from dallas, retaking this summer.

My highest score was a 21 in RC

most of the April the days are blocked out from taking the test. so you would have to take it right at the beginning or in may..

im from texas. im studying for it and havent determined a dat yet. i was thinking april but don't want to sign up until i know i will be a few wks away from 100% sure that i am ready to take it.

why do they block them off? ive never heard of this. i took the test over 2 yrs ago last. has something changed since then?

Plan on taking DAT in May, haven't registered yet, but i plan to apply to Baylor and and a few schools outside of texas. I'm from DALLAS:)

I went to Texas A&M but am living in houston now studying for the exam.

Do any of you know the last date in april to take it?

I have not decided or signed up for a day, i was goin to wait until about 2 to 3 wks before i was ready to take it. Im estimating its in april but not sure when exactly.

So you guys are basically saying either take it in early april? or wait till may?

From UTSA here......I am scheduled to take it May 15th for the first time

For those of you taking it in april or may, are yall in school right now? I just don't know how you'd prep for the DAT and stay up with your classes. Thats why I'm having to put off the DAT until August so I can study all summer...

ya it is a pretty fun school! I am already accepted to UTHSCSA through that DEAP program.
Ya, I am in school now, and it is hard to study for it while taking classes, but i have to take classes over the summer too so it wouldn't do me any good to wait until august even tho i might have to retake it in august :) but hopefully not!! Also, in a way I am studying for the DAT by studying for my classes, for instance one of my classes right now is o chem

thats cool lilrumpsta... i tried getting into that but i transferred into utsa my sophmore year and they said i couldn't do it cause i had more than 30 hours already..

i remember the requirements then were you had to maintain a 3.5 and 18 on the dat, is that still true?

Ya you need an 18 on the DAT, and a 3.4 GPA, but I am aiming for much higher than that for both!
