Hi all,

I am PGY-3 in IM and starting CCM in July. When I interviewed, 4 CCM attending just got boarded in neurocritical care (they were IM).

What do you all think of this? Should I consider this? Would it make me more marketable, or would it be more of a liability??

By the way, I do plan to practice in a multi-disciplinary unit, so this might benefit me.

Have you looked to see if you would be board eligible? Now that there are fellowships in NCC, it looks like the practice track will not apply. See

Thank you for the info! I am not sure how the attendings did it, but as far as I know they did not go back for a fellowship. I will be working with them when I start, and I'll ask. If it is just an extra year, I may consider it....
