Hello SDN,
I read over the USMLE World terms of service and they basically say running linux is a violation of their terms.

"We do not support any other browsers like Netscape, AOL, Opera etc and any other operating system environments like Unix, Linux etc. Trying to log-in from unsupported browsers, non supported computers, accessing the contents of courses by disabling scripting internet options is a violation of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. "

What if you just don't "disable scripting internet options?" They seem to support Firefox for OSX, I can't imagine why they would pan ubuntu. I sent them an email asking for clarification and if there is any interest on this board I'll post what they tell me. In the mean time, has anyone used a Qbank service while running a "nonstandard" OS?

Thanks,
Matt

I use firefox, which is pretty standard. When I use UW at school, it won't let me start an exam until I've gone into task manager and turned off something like "printkey2000" So, I'd think you're safe so long as it's letting you access the questions and you're using the qbank as intended.

I assume it is to protect themselves from programs farming the questions.
