for those who took the DAT, some had gchem sections they claimed was little calculations some said they had a lot, either way, how good do you have to be at calculating in your head for this test?, I would be able to do the problem fast with a calculator but would be thrown back because of having to calculate, are the answer choices far enough that you can estimate? are the numbers used easy to calculate? I've done the kaplan white book problems and its not that the problems themselves are difficult but I am slow without a calculator, does it compare?

You don't have to be able to do it in your head quickly, just on paper! Also, many of my questions set the problem up and then didn't do the final calculation, and those were the answer choices. Don't stress!
