I'm a fourth year med student and have matched into an ophthalmology residency. I have not taken Step 2 CK and am wondering how important my score will be in the future (i.e., fellowships).

I was hoping that a "pass" would suffice and not hurt me but just wanted to get some more input.

Pass is really all you need to worry about, other than that really doesn't matter too much.
Of course if you got a 260 on step I and you get a 190 on step II, that may look a little funny.

A resident at my med school said that more than half of the plastics fellowships she applied to asked for all her step scores. How much of an impact they will have she didn't know.

Any current fellows or attendings care to chime in? I'm curious from those who have been through the process or in charge of it.
