Please post your reasoning as well. I am curious as to what current and future RADs think about their job market prospects. I am thinking about doing RADs but I am several years off from actually going through the program and actually entering the RADs job market.
Thanks in advance.

People's estimates of medical job markets and salaries are notoriously unreliable. This question has been asked many times and unfortunately is impossible to answer with any certainty. IMHO, our job market is going to be good/great for at least the next 10 years (given the explosion in imaging volume), but beyond that is anybody's guest.
Historically, rads has always done well, and even during the downswing in the mid 90s (which was more borne out of fear of managed care than actual market forces) radiologists were hit less hard than others and jobs were available.
However as noone can predict the future, it is best to enter the field of medicine that you enjoy the most, so that the job satisfies you. For me, no other field compares to radiology!
