Dr. Cole is also a Professor of Orthopedics at Rush University Medical Center and offered some great insights into the world of sports medicine. He talked about a number of topics -- from his interest in arthroscopic reconstruction to the steroids era in baseball. He also talked about the intricacies and pressures of treating professional athletes. It was a really fun interview to do, so if you're interested, check out the podcast! We were also honored to be joined by White Coat Confidential, our new Radio Rounds band, who offered us a little preview of their upcoming theme song for the show.

Finally, listen for the case of the week (featured at the end of the episode), and send us an answer to radiorounds@gmail.com for a chance to win a prize. You always have until one week after the show's air date to send us the answer, and we then randomly draw a winner.

Check our blog, radiorounds.blogspot.com, later in the week for more information on next week's show (Sunday August 16), which will feature Dr. Evan Lyon, an internal medicine physician who works with the world-renowned Partners in Health organization in Massachusetts. Dr. Lyon has worked extensively in Haiti and is also an Editor for the Journal of Health and Human Rights.

And of course... tip of the hat to SDN, as always, for sponsoring Radio Rounds.
