I am in physics now at HES. The professor is absolutely awful and he picked a new book which is worse.

When I took Orgo Chem the book "Organic Chem as a Second Language" saved me! Is there anything just like it for physics?

The same company publishes two physics books -- Introductory Physics with Calculus as a Second Language and Introductory Physics with Algebra as a Second Language. I used the calculus one for my physics course (which was calculus-based), and I thought it was helpful. Good luck!! :)
