Can anyone give me an idea about cosmetic fellowships that are available for internationally trained plastic surgeons? Are there any non-accredited fellowships in the US that might consider foreign applicants who have completed all of their training overseas? Also, are any training posts available in Europe? Thanks......

Hi, first of all I assuming you have taken all 3 parts of the USMLE to be able to obtain a license to work in the US. Otherwise we're talking about observerships. There are several non-accredited fellowships available, I know South Florida has a plastic surgeon from italy with them for a year.. There are several options for observership too, like UTSW.

Hey, thank you for the reply. The thing is, even if I have cleared all parts of the USMLE exam am I eligible to apply for a fellowship, even if it is a non-accredited one if my entire residency training has been outside the US?

yes you are eligible to apply, even to accredited one. In fact the Dallas craniofacial fellowship had a fellow from Argentina last year and it is an accredited program.. there are others too
