I have got USMLE scores as 77 in step 1 and 82 in step 2. Have been out of touch with the medical profession for the past 5 years due to serious family problems. I am an IMG on Green card.

What are my chances of getting into FP? If chances are slim then how can i improve them?? Please guide me.

Have you taken the CSA test yet? Also you will need strong letters of reference from doctors who have worked with you in clinical settings in the US. FP, as far as residency is concerned, is quite reachable these days. Consider taking Part 3 as well to enhance your CV. Good luck.
