Hey, just got the secondary invite. I've noticed that a lot of these secondaries ask us to list healthcare experience. I already put all that stuff on aacomas, so do i need to re-list it?

If not, than why do they assume that we didn't already put everything on the primary application?

JaggerPlate

I'd re-list it. They may only review your primary or secondary during the (potential) interview process, so wouldn't hurt to have it on both.

Definetly excited about this school. My DO LOR is from an alum and he had nothing but great things to say about the school and surrounding areas. :)

Hey folks! Good luck with your application! I am just about to move myself over to K-Vegas for MS1. I am always happy to chat it up or relay some experience from the application and (soon) the transition to medical school. PM me anytime!

The application season was kind to me, and I was lucky enough to have multiple acceptances. Prior to interviewing I ranked KCOM rather low on my wish list simply because of the location. A**crack nowhere as my roommate colorfully put it. I grew up in cities and thought I wanted to study medicine in the city as well. Despite the low personal ranking I girded my loins and forked over the money to interview (flying to Kirksville from Seattle is not cheap). KCOM blew me away. Kirksville is friendly, the school is phenomenal, the resources on campus are great, the facilities are high tech but not overwhelmingly so, and the staff all seem to be passionate about being educators. I also got into AZCOM, CCOM, PNWU, and NSUCOM none of which clicked quite like ATSU. I wish you all the best of luck this year!

once my undergrad school uploaded the letters i got an e-mail directly from virtual evals with a link showing which schools were given access to the letters. it appears all letters were made available to all of the schools but it is up to the individual schools which ones they choose to access/look at

Hey guys I'm having a hard time approaching the following question:

What specific experience/exposure have you had with osteopathic medicine? How has this influenced your decision to become an osteopathic physician?

Basically the only real difference between DO and MD is OMM; and I hardly have any "experience/exposure" to OMM. I did consult with a DO internist for about an hour, who also wrote a LOR for me. But we didn't talk about OMM, much less get to witness anything. I also shadowed a DO pathologist, but she might as well have been a MD.

Aside from that I did read a book about the history of OM to educate myself about the development of the science. This is problematic for me. Should I immediately try to find a DO who performs OMM to shadow for a while and then come back to this prompt? For you matriculates, did you guys all have first-hand experience with OMM?

I recommend the book "The DOs". It gives the hx of osteopathic medicine as well as some of the important differences

Thats a great question. I addressed this issue by conveying my thoughts on the differences in the MD's and DO's that I shadowed. I noted that the DO's many times showed much better bedside manner and compassion. I went on to mention the DO's were able to connect with their patients in ways that several of the MD's had not. This is not to represent that DO's as a whole are better than MD's in any way. This is simply what I noticed within the circle of physicians and surgeons I personally followed. It is probably appropriate to note that the ability to connect well with your patients may not vary as much across the MD/DO spectrum as it does regarding the field of medicine being practiced, as well as the context therein.
Just think long and hard about all your experiences and research on the topic- you should be able to write a compelling paragraph about the matter. I believe it is one of the most important questions asked on the application as they will refer to it time and again during your interview.

Hey guys. I have a quick question. Is the evaluation form required? I'm a little bit confused. First it states something like the form is recommended, but not required. And then when I downloaded the form, it says "This form must accompany any packet or letters submitted" or something like that..What does it mean? There is no way for me to go back to my professor and fill out the form for me. He/she is probably on vacation. I don't want to wait until September plus I don't even know if he/she is going to teach next term. I use interfolio for my letters and all my letters are in already. I'm so confused.

Please help.

pick the most important/significant, they will look at your primary as well. Make sure they are true clinical experience with patient contact too. I've seen alot of people saying they are listing hospital clerical work as clinical experience, no patient contact = no clinical experience.

yeah, I emailed them to see if I could just send them extra clinical experiences and got a reply saying to make sure I combined like experiences (like all shadowing under one experience). I'm pretty sure it said that somewhere on the app because I'd already done that, duh. lol oh well, I submitted with my top four last night, so I'm complete :) yay

I was a clerk in the Emergency Room, and believe me I had plenty of patient contact. As LizzyM the adcom who posts on the allopathic forum says, "it counts as clinical experience if you can smell the patients"

Smell the patients means you were close enough to smell them, not in the same area as them. I more meant people whose only interaction with patients was saying hello in passing.

I understand, and I agree with you. Only if you truly have clinical experience should it be listed. I just wanted to point out that it is possible to have a job which is clerical in nature, but that would also be noteworthy as clinical experience.

I agree. I was just taking a jab at those who try to spin their experiences as clinical when its very obviously not.

Just got my KCOM secondary! and first secondary for DO schools!

Questions -- is it OK if I don't give the evaluation forms to my recommenders? They seemed... pretty silly. And i didn't really like the questions.

And can I only send it two recommendations? Is a recommendation from an MD that I did research for academic credit with OK? Or should I send in a old recommendation from a former employer (and also an MD)

thanks!! :D

... and why I can explain why DO... I have no really "experience/exposures" for why DO -- outside of some shadowing... which didn't seem all that special. this is going to be tricky.

This seems like a long shot seeing as I was told by the admissions office that last year only 5 people applied for the early admission program but is there anyone else on here that applied for the early admissions program this year? I'm feeling pretty lonely! If so, have you heard back about an interview yet? Still kinda early but you never know...

I don't think the evaluation form is required. I never use them at any school (only school I was going to do it at was MSUCOM because they require it, but I'm no longer applying there).

Also, I definitely sent more than 2... I sent 5 letters to pretty much everywhere because mine are sent out from my undergrad university's Reference Letter Service in a letter packet, so it's kind of hard to send individual letters. If they don't read all of them... so be it. lol.

I don't have much either: I wrote about my experience working with a DO on a one-week medical mission trip and then about the fact that my primary care doc is a DO because I've discussed osteopathic medicine with her a few times. I talked about these experiences being the ones that introduced me to osteopathic medicine and led me to research the profession more.

However, I do have 1 science professor and 1 employer already verified in Interfolio. I would wait for the DO letter if your going to send them electronically, that way the doctor only needs to send the letter once. Otherwise he would need to personally send it to every school himself and I wouldn't trust one person to do that on time.

 You can send the first letters, have the DO send to interfolio and then send an update letter via interfolio... it will just come in two deliveries and cost extra....

The way people are finding out they are complete at KCOM is by the status check and seeing everything marked as "received"...as opposed to a "you are complete" email from admissions...?

Shows they haven't received everything even after putting in your confirmation code thing that allows you to view? I'd call again just to follow up, but thats just me.

When I enter my confirmation code I receive an error message which says, "IE cannot display this page at the moment." I have been getting this same error message for the last 2 weeks on various computers.

I called this morning and the woman I spoke with assured me that my application was complete in its entirety, even though their online system was not confirming this fact. She told me to sit back and wait =D

If your secondary is all complete and submitted you should be hearing pretty soon. If im not mistaken, interviews start in September and they usually give you at least 2 weeks to arrange for travel depending on the date you select for your interview (I highly recommend the earliest date offered). Good luck

(I posted this in the 2009-2010 thread because I am a silly person)

Interview invite today for sometime in October. I submitted my secondary 8/9. As an individual who doesn't really drive -- this is a rather tricky location to get to. I either convince my mom to go with me for a 6 hour drive OR try to get a pilot I know to fly me (much more expensive but he would be so happy). bah growing up in a city and never really needing to learn how to drive (and being too young to rent one for cheap)

thanks mdang86!

Congrats!!!! Sucks that it is in October because until the end of September, AAA has coupons to waive the "under 25" fee for 21-24 year olds with Hertz rentals. That's what I'm using for most of my interview rental cars :)

EDIT: Also, did they call or email?

They sent me an email.

They does suck about it being in October. I missed out on my first time to rent a car. :( It looks like my mom and me are driving out -- and KCOM asks if you are bringing guests, so she might even tag along (I totally feel like a lame high-schooler right now)

Just scheduled my interview for October 1st, super excited. Ps. Hertz is still dropping the under-25 fee into October if you ask so you don't have to worry about that if you're renting. Cheers :)

Hi, I have a question about the evaluation part...i clicked on the option "I voluntarily waive and relinquish my right of access to this evaluation"

than it shows forms to download and information about the ones that wrote your LORS...my LORS are at my undergrad in a file...so do i fill the information about the individuals or leave it blank and just sand all my LORS?

Forever!! Just kidding. Andrlynn said that she received my mailed letter on the 16th and she will input it into the computer today or tomorrow. She had told me on the phone that she is about a week behind. Interfolio is definitely the way to go, unless your evaluator was a graduate of said school (which mine was), then I think it is worth the wait.

I think when you deposited all of your letters into your undergraduate file, you signed a form relinquishing your rights to see the letters. I don't think you have to do anything (not even send the coversheets to your letter writers). I think by law they have to ask you to allow them to deny access to your letters so that they get an objective evaluation.

Yeah, the same law that grants you privacy regarding your grades, etc also allows you access to letters of recommendation and other things regarding your file. To protect the integrity of the confidential letter of recommendation, the schools ask you to waive your rights to view the letters.

Good...I guess I won't call and harass them quite yet because they probably got mine about the same time. Interfolio is the definitely the way to go...I went as far as to sign up and pay and then my undergrad pretty much refused to use it. They said that since they're a small school they prefer to mail them and personalize each letter. This sounds nice but it's been more of a pain getting everything where it has to be.

I would fill it in. I think this is more so that they know which letters are coming? That is just a guess. I would just fill it in. I had one of my letters sent via interfolio, and one sent via snail mail and when I called the other day, they didn't seem to care. Hope this helps.

I've been out of undergrad for a few years, so I just avoided my pre-med office completely. It seems to be working out okay so far. That stinks that they want to send it all via the mail. I think now that interfolio has taken off, they are hiring less people to process the mail, which results in longer wait times. You can call her and ask if she has it, she is really nice. They will let you know either way.

I will let you know when my file actually comes complete (the lady told me that she had it and that it would be uploaded today or tomorrow), that way you know when it should appear for you...

Hey guys - My online status still does not show the receipt of my letters even though I have been complete for nearly a month. I called twice and both times they assured me I was complete. I also emailed admissions yesterday and got this reply:

"I assure you that I have complete your application. You can try viewing your status in a different web browser. Sorry that you are having trouble with the system."

So even if the status page doesn't show that your application is complete, it still may be. Just thought I would share. :D

Hey Jaggerplate

When you filled out the secondary (assuming its the same), did you bother talking about "why osteopathic medicine" or "what u know about it" for the first question (what qualities can u bring to KCOM). Or did you talk about "what u know about Osteopathic medicine" in the second question (what experiences do u have and how has it influenced ur choice)

That might sound confusing haha so if it is, please let me know i can clarify

Any advice from others would be greatly appreciated:)

Exactly. . .but remember to also bring that bong with you to the test too because the only way to remember knowledge that was gained during intense drinking is to get drunk again!

This post in no way promotes drinking while studying for the test, nor does it recommend drinking while taking a test. So in the evaluation form section do i just fill out the info and then send the interfolio letters corresponding to the writers in lieu of the eval forms?

Thanks, this makes it better. I was worried that I would've had to go back and get a form filled out from my DO. He runs a busy practice so I felt rather fortunate when he uploaded the letter fairly quickly. I didn't want to go bother him again.

I personally find it easier to fly into KCI and rent a car for the ride to K-Ville. It's equal distances from KC and SL airports. SL does offer the jumper plane to the K-Ville 'airport,' but it's usually a bit tough to coordinate (only flies a few times a day).

Good luck. Feel free (this applies to anyone with any sort of KCOM question) to PM me with any questions, concerns, etc.

You just need to fill out the evaluate form section yourself when you fill out the secondary application. I believe it only asks for contact info.

Even after interview invite it says application in process. The code in the box is to show you the dates and if they have received the items. It was the confirmation code that was in the e-mail they sent you acknowledging the receipt of the secondary.

Well as I sit here in the airport after the interview I figured I'd let you SDNers know how great this school is. The faculty and staff were incredibly nice and all the students there wished you luck as they walked by. I was VERY impressed. Also, for those who interview, go to the dinner if you can. It was an awesome way to let off the stress for the next day and was a great way to get to know the professors. We sat at the table and just chatted. I think this school will really make a difference on the problems healthcare has. I could go on but will leave it at that. Good luck all.

I stayed in the Holiday Inn when I interviewed. It is nice, but it was expensive ($89 I think). The Days Inn is about $66, and they just renovated it. It looks pretty nice from the outside, though, I've never been inside. There are some really cheap ones around town, but the quality will not be as nice. People have survived in them just fine though. I do not know of any of the hotels that have a shuttle to and from the airport (I am assuming that you are flying into Kville?) though. . .you might just have to go with a taxi (I would call and ask the hotels though). If you want a ride getting from the hotel to the school, I do not mind helping anybody out with that (that way you do not have to spend money on a taxi). That goes for anybody by the way. . . .

Yes, Kirksville is in the middle of nowhere. But really, it doesn't even matter. You are going to be too busy to be able to leave the town most of the time anyways. I can get to Columbia in about 1 hour and 15 minutes, and it has everything that you could want. Most weekends are just filled with studying and sports for me though. And really, Kirksville has everything that you need. I am very happy living here! =)

Another vote for Holiday Inn.

Location: I truly don't think it matters much (aside from how close you are to family/loved ones). You really don't have a lot of time to go explore your surroundings, and I've found that most of your time off is more focused around classmates and not the location. Additionally, I'm from So-Cal and actually think K-Ville is a neat little area. I can't speak for everyone, but it's grown on me pretty quick!

Yeah, we have intramurals. And then some of us just get teams together and play for fun. I've been playing football, softball, vollyball, and ultimate Frisbee when I have time. And on the weekends, while I'm studying, I have some kind of game on tv, even more so now that football season has started. But yeah, sports does not die for me just because I'm in med school!

Dude there is soooooo many opportunities to play sports. theres at least 6 or 7 intramural sports to play every week, plus all the pickup games. I am seriously beginning to worry that I am playing too many sports and not enough studying haha.

Its crazy to think those of you that are going to be interviewing here soon were exactly where I was last year (interviewed 10/29), its a truly exciting time and I wish you the best of luck. let me know if you need anything

quick question, when you guys log in to check your status does it say , "application in process", and whats the code they require to type in the box above the status. Is that something they email after the interview invite?

I never got a code either. I only got an email saying they received the secondary and when it was processed I would get a code. That was 3 weeks ago. I did call and they said I was complete.. Still worried though.

Anyone else in the same boat. I should have been complete as of like Aug 28... depending on when they downloaded my letters.

I got advice from a current medical student, who prefers to fly into St. Louis, and arrange for a second flight directly into Kirksville (via CapeAir...check out website... each way is ~ $50).

The other option is a rental car, which as a better deal from Kansas City airport b/c it is closer than STL.

I still think it's best to fly into ST Louis or Kansas City (especially KC) and rent a car. The little jumper plane that flies into K-Ville regional only goes a few times a day and will probably end up costing you more $ in the long run trying to make all the times work. Just my .02 cents. I've tried to do the jumper plane every time I've traveled to and from K-Ville ... never been able to work it out once (while keeping cost, time, and effort reasonable). If you can make it work though, it should be nice!

Yeah I think you're right. It may be convenient, but it's just not feasible...for me at least. As of now, it looks like I'll be landing around 9pm in KC which puts me getting to the ville around 12 or 12:30 the night before my interview :scared: I can't wait!!!! haha

So if I drive down right after to KC I should be there by 6:00 PM and thats perfect. HOWEVER, I live in Los Angeles so Traffic here is a nightmare no matter what time of the day it is! When I called a lady in the admissions office said we could leave as early as 1:30 if we needed to get on the road. If you're using Kansas City International Airport, it's way on the outskirts of the north side of the city, so I'm assuming you'll be fine.

i recommend the drive from KC, or st louis, depending on where youre coming from. The cape air is a big hassle, and who doesnt like a little road trip? by the way google maps is incorrect (or calibrated to my grandmothers style of driving) on the time; when I did my interview last year I made it to the KC airport in well under 3 hours. If you have flights leaving KC as early as 5:30pm you should be fine because the second half of the day is pretty much optional.

And I concur with ddiaz (houdini), this school is freakin amazing

I was complete in early august, I think the first week actually, and got an invite on August 29th I think. I have a strong suspicion that letters and ECs play a significant part as well. Accepted to KCOM and AZCOM for class of 2015. Between AZCOM and KCOM, I'm going to have to rate KCOM as the better school.

AZCOM class size is 250 while KCOM is set to 170. It makes AZCOM look like a DO factory. Plus KCOM is the cheaper option. Felt at home at KCOM. I'm canceling the rest of my DO interviews. Still interviewing in Texas though.

Btw I interviewed Oct 4th. I was the guy from Texas. They called me Oct 6th to let me know of my acceptance. (Which was very fast. I did not expect this)

3.7 aacomas GPA, 29 MCAT. Currently in a 1yr SMP.

Early is Better! As someone who interviewed last Friday, (10/8) take the 10/22 slot. The interviews are very laid back and very conversational, sure they will throw in some standard questions, but a lot of it is mostly from your file and about you in general. The best prep you can do is to just be familiar with your file, know the answers to some high yield questions, and then relaxing and being yourself. (Well OK, the best prep, personally, was me hanging out with some student ambassadors the night before :p)

Good luck to everyone else.

Even though the Texas schools are much cheaper, I'm really feeling a connection with KCOM. (call me weird) I might just end up going here.

I noticed on your MDApps profile that you just got your citizenship. Congrats! I'm kinda on the same path as you except I'm still pending AOS (Filipino, grew up in Saudi Arabia, undergrad in the middle of nowhere Indiana:).) I did already get one acceptance so I'm super excited, and I'm eagerly eagerly waiting for the KCOM phone call tomorrow:xf: Anyway, where are you originally from/what three countries did you live before here?

so KCOM just called my phone 5 minutes ago... when i went to pick up... my iphone restarted... fml right?... so I tried to call back, but apparently all the numbers go through one main number... I was so hesitant to call Andrea O'Brien's main line (the admissions rep), who mentioned in my interview with her that I would get a call from her with their decision, but I did so anyway... no answer... I was starting to feel pretty ticked off until my phone rang again... a two minute speechless, dumbfounded, incoherent conversation later...

I'M IN! :D:love:

Assmosis you said you submitted your secondary on 10/5 which is a week ago? That is a super fast turnaround! Did you even get a "complete" email? I submitted mine on September 28th, but I'm still waiting...

Yeah, I was really surprised. I was going to contact admissions just to confirm. I never got the complete e-mail either. I scheduled the interview for 12/6 so hopefully I'll be seeing another sdn member.

Hey group,

I just got my acceptance to KCOM Class of 2015. So awesome right there. It's good to see so many people excited! I went to Truman State (Which is also in Kirksville) so I know the town pretty well if anyone has questions about what is there and (the longer list) what isn't there. Also, I would love to chat with any HPSP students, so feel free to PM.

I did get a 4.0 while obtaining my Masters in Public Health. Do you think I might recieve an interview from the school ?

Your mcat is better than but gpa is lower than what I had. I applied early and interviewed last week and got acceptance a couple days ago. I think you should have a shot but I would recommend calling them and asking where you stand.

The day I interviewed, there were 2 spouses and one set of parents, and the way everyone acted, it was pretty enjoyable and informative for them. They received different lectures while the applicants interviewed. Sorry I can't be any more help, but I didn't have a guest.

First, congrats to those accepted and those pending interviews!

I have a couple questions about the 2ndary, if any of you might be able to help. I haven't seen the answer on here, so I apologize if I missed the answer in this thread or elsewhere.

1. Does a DO letter really matter? If I only have MD, is that going to hurt me?

2. Standardized test scores...if I can only recall the total score, not the section scores, do they care? (I took the ACT & SAT in like 1998...and quickly brain-dumped that info after going to college)

Thanks! And good luck! :)

1. The DO letter doesn't matter. I got accepted with an MD letter. Just makes sure you know what osteopathy is all about.
2. I logged into my collegeboard account. I had to use password recovery to get my info. I dont really think they care too much about SAT/ACT scores given that fact that you are in the process/completed a college degree.

After you schedule an interview, does the confirmation email come immediately? I scheduled a date, clicked send, and then got to the page that said my request had been sent/date scheduled, but I haven't yet gotten a confirmation email. Keeping in mind that it was 5pm pacific time when I sent the request. Whew! Thanks for the reassurance with the letter.

I hope they don't care about the scores. I'd have to spend more $$$ to get the scores since they are "archived" - and that totally makes me feel old now! I think that collegeboard thing is new since the interweb got all popular and useful after I was in high school. Part 2 of feeling old. hahaha

Almost every interview day someone has a guest with them. The school loves to meet the people that are your support system, so they try and make them as much a part of the day as possible. While you are doing your faculty interviews, the school gives guests a chance to visit with SAA (Student Advocate Association) Ambassadors, who are mostly spouses/fiances of current students. They also give a presentation about the school's history and what life is like in Kirksville.

I haven't been accepted but am waiting to hear back. The adcom meets on Wednesdays but might not get through the whole stack from the last week in a given meeting. For example, I inerviewed last week but they didn't get to my file yesterday. They told me I would almost definitely find out next week. Given that there are two wednesdays between your interview and the 18th you should hear back on the 17th if not the 13th, and you may have to call and find out yourself.

Now, is your deposit due on the 18th? Because if you find out you didn't get in late on the 17th you could put yourself in a pickle if you hadn't sent that deposit.

I decided to apply DO kind've late in the game and have been waiting on my DO letter. It should be done this week, so I am trying to finish up all my secondaries so I can be complete as soon as he is done, and I just have a question about the secondary. They give you 500 words for each essay, and normally I tend to be really wordy and go over the word limit, but for the first one my essay is only about 250 words. I feel weird "tooting my own horn" so to speak, and I don't want to write stuff just to write it...Is the 250 words alright, or are they going to look at it and think I didn't put enough effort into it? Do you guys think I still stand a shot this cycle? my cgpa is 3.55 sgpa 3.2 MCAT 26. I'm fluent in Spanish and I want to work with the underserved, which is what my application is built around. Thanks everyone and congrats to everyone that has gotten interviews and acceptances already!

The interview process at KCOM is not quite as stressful as other school interviews (or so I've been told.) The day begins at 8:00 a.m. with a little introduction. From 9:00-12:00 you have your interviews. There are three interviews, generally one with a Ph.D., one with a physician, and one with an admissions representative, but you could have two Ph.D. interviewees, it just depends on who you are given to interview with. At 12:00 you eat lunch with the wonderful student ambassadors (no bias here!:)), and then from 12:30-1:00 p.m. some more student ambassadors will do an OTM demonstration for you. From 1:00-2:00 you have a presentation about Financial Aid and Thompson Campus Center (our gym). From 2:00-2:45 p.m is a campus tour with some more student ambassadors. Some people have to leave early to catch flights, and I think they are willing to work with you, as long as you don't leave before you finish your interviews obviously.

The interview time slot is three hours, but each interview is only scheduled for a maximum for one hour each. So your interviews are all one-on-one. When I came, I interviewed with a surgeon who had to leave for surgery, so that interview was only 30 minutes, and then my other interview was maybe 50 minutes, and then my third interview was probably around 30 minutes with the admissions rep. I agree--a 3 hour interview would be a little stressful! Sorry I didn't make that very clear.

It all just depends on the interviewer. They really are more of getting to know you type conversations. They'll ask you questions about your application. They don't necessarily know what you told the other interviewer so there could be overlap.

KCOM by far had the best breakfast spread of any interview I went on. I'm not saying that's what sealed my decision, just saying it didn't hurt.

The interviews I had were really laided back. I'm a tall guy, and me and one of my interviewers, who was a very tall guy, just talked about how being tall is cool in social situations.

They already know everything about you that is relevent (They could probably even school your mom in a toe-to-toe contest), so just relax and don't say you like being a DO because it is "more holistic". Not an incorrect answer, they have just heard it four-hundred other times before.

OTM is 1-2 times per week for the c/o 2014, cannot speak or 2013. Each session is 2 hours. During our 3 month quarter I believe we have 3 practicals where we have 5 minutes to perform a certain technique(s). I would not think that the OTM curriculum is excessive. We spend maybe 10% at most of our study/class time. and yes 5 quarters of OTM is correct- total of 7 quarters of classes in year 1 and 2

DO2013,

Thanks for answering all of our questions and for having so much patience! It's been great reading and getting advice from a current student. :)

Aww..you are very welcome! Keep those questions coming! :) I really enjoy going to school here. Medical school is a really big investment, so any where you choose to go I would recommend getting your questions answered and just seeing how well you fit in at the school/town. ATSU-KCOM was a really good fit for me, but everyone has different personalities and things they are looking for in a school or community.

You may not spend as much time study/class time in OTM, but as you go on in the curriculum they begin emphasizing it a little more in the other classes. For instance, in microbiology and infectious disease classes, you do case presentations in which you have to determine the disease, etiologic agent, and treatment for a patient that presents (essentially, it's "playing doctor"). You are also required to name the sympathetic and parasympathetic findings that you would expect using your OMM exam TART findings.

They do offer a craniosacral OMM elective course at the very end of the first year. I'm not sure if other schools offer this or not.

Does anyone have experience taking the flight from St. Louis to Kirksville? I booked this flight a while ago and recently found out it is a 4 person plane!! Needless to say, I can not change my travel plans and I am freaking out a bit.

I took the plane last week. The little Cessna's feel a bit squirrelly compared to the larger jets, but there is nothing to worry about! They seemed fairly new and maintained, and the pilots were good. Just be prepared for a noisy flight.

I was nervous too but it's a great flight! Noisy but wonderful view. It's also tons of fun to watch the pilots. they look pretty bored in the air -- just attempting to pass the time like the passengers.

hope for good weather though!
