Hi
I'm very interested in radiology, and I've been checking out FREIDA, and the program that I am interested in doing my residency at says 50 hours during first year (not the transition year), etc. Does this sound realisitic, or is it just an estimate? Do the rest of the years of residency have similar hours also? I have a daughter and I don't want to go into this field with unrealistic expectations.

I'm just doing research right now. I still have to get my undergrad. So who knows what the future holds? lol :-)

Thank you for any information.

Take care,
Beckie

It's about 45-55 hours a week where I'm at depending on call schedule and stuff. You'll have a few months of angio/interventional where it'll be more like a surgery schedule but I would say that the hours are probably right on.
