Then there's also the nice, sweet, older, yet able-bodied (90+ y/o) patients who present with some random complaint (constipated, or sore throat, or random joint pain) who have those wonderful 800 cm pancreatic masses on CT scan. Just had one the other day. After the stupid NP went and blabbermouthed the results to her, the patient just stared into the distance and told me she wanted to die.
