Hello everyone, I am a freshman at FSU abroad program.I am exploring career options and mental health counseling seems interesting.I havent seen any thread about FSU MHC program. It requieres 72 credits and awards a M.S./Ed.S. ; the program is accredited by CAREP. I was wondering if anyone knows about the program? How does it compare to other programs like columbia? has any of you attented this program? The program requieres 72 credits to complete, does this mean the program is better than a 60 credit program? The reason I am interested in this program is beacuse I will transfer to FSU main campus in 2012.I will pay in state tuition so it will be cheaper.

Also if any if you has any info on vermont's MHC program please share your experiences .I am also interested in Vermont university MHC program beacuse it is accredited and the area is amazing.

last but not least: Are MHC programs hard to ge into? I have a 3.5 gpa and will get clinical and research experience next year.Is it hard to find a job as a mental health counselor? I am only considering this as an alternate route to a Psy.D. or PHD. I am not sure if I prefer research or applied clinical/counseling.Since I am a freshman it is still early.

Thank you for answering!
