You all will love it! The faculty is so nice and BU is very laid back. Yes, tuition is expensive but you will pay it off in no time. Not to mention, BU will either renovate the current building or they will build a whole new building within the next couple of years.

If anyone is interested, it's a small 1 bedroom apartment located literally across the street from BU Medical Center. The rent is $1500/month and includes water but not heat/utilities. The apartment is fully renovated and has hardwood floors, new stainless kitchen, great lighting, high ceilings and plenty of storage. It is ideal for 1 but can be cozy for 2.

Yeah, it's very conversational... I wouldn't worry about the interview. BU was my first interview, and I was so nervous at my interview that when my interviewer asked if I had any questions, I blanked and told her I forgot them... then I remembered then I said I forgot again. Eventually I remembered, but I totally thought I bombed that interview :/. I did end up getting in though lol.

My interviewer just went through my app with me and asked me things like, so you're from xxx, and your parents are xxx, and things like that. The one question that threw me though, was she asked, why wouldn't UMDNJ want you? I really didn't know what to say... Funny thing is, UMDNJ waitlisted me, so obviously they didn't want me that bad... We also just talked about my braces, I have braces.

I had my interview in late January, and BU told us that we will be called 4-6weeks..
and it has alerady been 4 weeks but I have not heard anything from them!

I loved the school and this is my number 1 choice for sure!

my interview was on March 1 and I found out on March 4th. on March 1st, they said 85 spots were filled out of the total 115.

i know that another GMS interviewed the 4th of feb and hasn't heard back yet. so its variable. just keep a look out for that email.:xf:

I'm curious. Those who got accepted, did anyone receive an acceptance letter 4-5 weeks after the interview? What about those who got waitlisted? Just trying to see if there are any trends.

From what I understand, no news is good news. They still have spots; a friend of mine interviewed before me (early Feb) and got wait-listed, another friend of mine interviewed after me (early March) and was accepted. No rhyme or reason to it, just stay positive. I hope this helps

it does.. I'm considering b/c the cost will eventually even out. BU still being slightly more expensive, but it is boston :)

I think you should come, but I'm being bias cause I'll be there with you if you decide to come. I have a few friends that go to Pitt and they seem to be happy with their classes so I think it boils down to if you really value APEX or not.

My friend who interviewed on March 1st got an acceptance this Tuesday. I don't think she wasn't put on the waitlist, just never contacted after her interview. However, I think she's leaning towards VCU over BU so that might be a potential free spot for you guys.

I interviewed on March 4th and I found out on March 29th, that I got in. They told my interview group that we would hear back in 3-6 weeks. If you interviewed in January, you should call the school and find out what your status is.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted! I am a first year at BUSM and I'm moving out of my apartment at the end of May. I wanted to advertise it on this forum to give some of you a chance to take advantage of it. It's in a great location (literally across the street from BMC) and there are lots of other medical students who live here as well.

It's a gorgeous, large 1 bedroom apartment (approximately 675 square feet) with a great spacious layout in a new building - the rent is $2140 and it's available June 1st.

It's located in the South End, right across the street from Boston Medical Center. It's close to grocery stores, restaurants, a dog park, bakeries, Red and Orange T Lines, MBTA bus lines, I-90 and I-93, and more! The apartment has a modern, large, and open kitchen with stainless steel appliances (along with a dishwasher and garbage disposal), spacious countertops, and tons of cabinet space. The bedroom is spacious and has a large closet. The apartment has 2 large hallway closets, and one is a walk-in closet with the most storage space you will find in a Boston apartment. The apartment has central air and a controllable thermostat.

The building has a brand new gym, laundry on each floor, elevators, doorman, free coffee, wireless internet, and a wonderful management team with a great maintenance policy. We've never had to wait more than a day for routine repairs. The building is pet friendly with no pet fee or breed restrictions! There is ample street parking in this part of the South End, and the building has underground parking available and ZipCar on site.

You will be taking over our rent at last year's market price ($2140)! The lease would be in your name - this is not a sublet (you just get the benefit of last year's market price)! Heat, hot water, AC, water, sewage, and trash are included.

when more spots are available, they look at the whole thing again. there is no order, or so I have been told.
