Hi all,

I am currently planning my schedule for the next year or so and am considering when I should schedule my exam. I was wondering if there were certain months/dates throughout the year when the exam was not offered. I originally scheduled a permit that ends at the beginning of August, but I am thinking about taking my exam sometime in the fall. However, prometric won't let me see test dates that are outside of the permit's range. Before I pay the fee to switch my eligibility period, I'd like to have an idea of whether or not I would even be able to take the test date during the week I want to. Does anyone have any experience taking the exam in the fall sometime (ex. September or October?). Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

If they will allow you pick a 3 month period, thenthe assumptioin is that the test is offered during that period. At least thats how i understood it.

Yes, it's offerred year round. My school allows us to take Step I whenever we want and I know people that have taken it at all different times, including Sept/Oct. I'm taking it in 2 weeks.
