I've spent a little time looking for information on the web, but have a few questions. I'm a 3rd year now still trying to decide what I want to go into.
Do you anticipate in 10 years or so when I would be looking for a job, that it will be easy to find a position in the intermountain west?
What is the average net income in the west after a few years in practice?
Are most positions as a partner in a group, hired by a physicians group, or as a hospital employee? Are there advantages to one over the other?
As I assume most cover the ICU, do you need additional training in this area? Would doing a Critical Care fellowship pay off financially and findiing a position?
Is it something where you can find a few partners and start your own practice?
Thanks, and if you don't mind, mention if you know for a fact or are speculating?
