View Full Version : Chapman acceptance? dptforme 02-02-2011, 11:38 PM Just curious, has anyone heard from Chapman about acceptances yet? Base14 02-03-2011, 07:25 AM Nope. Last year when I applied, I got a email mid-March saying I was wait-listed.. They seem to take a little longer in their admission process. FrutoJC 02-04-2011, 09:57 PM bump PTSuccess 02-05-2011, 08:11 PM Are there any students on here that are currently attending Chapman, or who have graduated from there program? Or even anyone who knows of a current/past student from the program? I am curious to know from a students perspective what they think/thought about the program. I really like the way they have the program structured with the clinical rotations, etc. I have visited the school numerous times, and have been impressed each time, but I just want to hear what people really think about it? JoeyJoe 02-09-2011, 10:57 PM I am still waiting too for Fall 2011! Let me know if anyone hears back!!! FrutoJC 02-09-2011, 11:48 PM I received an acceptance email on 1/31, followed by an official acceptance letter in the mail on 2/9. I got an email today stating they were still reviewing applications. I hope I don't have to wait through March! I've been accepted to George Washington University and I'm just getting anxious. I ready to move on from the waiting period and start planning the next move. ptforme 02-10-2011, 09:27 PM Almost, I got that same e-mail also. It's definitely better than a rejection but still nerve wrecking!! One More Rep 02-11-2011, 07:33 AM I got an email today saying they had already sent notifications to priority applicants, but they are still working on regular applicants. I am confused, since my stats easily put me into "priority" status, as indicated by their website information. Very strange. Almost 03-22-2011, 07:40 PM Has anyone on the waitlist gotten info on what number they are on the waitlist? I've only been told that I'm on it, but I haven't heard where exactly. lajoiedevivre 03-22-2011, 08:21 PM I emailed Serena Healy March 14th and I'm still waiting to find out my waitlist ranking as well... imallama 04-24-2012, 06:50 PM So....I still haven't heard anything from Chapman. Should I be concerned? Wouldn't they take all the priority applicants vs. people who are eligible for regular admission? I know the email sent out says that admission decisions will continue until April...but it's almost the end of April and I still don't know what's happening. ml0925 04-24-2012, 10:59 PM So....I still haven't heard anything from Chapman. Hi imallama... just wanted to let you know what I know 'cause I hated the wondering part of the application process. I found out I got into Chapman at the end of January, priority admission. They started a Facebook page for our class, and I can tell you that there are only 30-something people who have joined so far. I know it will be a class of about 50, and I've noticed a new person is added every week or two. I still think you have a shot! I'm guessing we shouldn't bet on a Facebook page being a good source of what's really going on, but it may be a indication (??). :) I hope this helps! Good luck to you! Osqueal 04-25-2012, 09:37 AM I found out I was waitlisted last week, I think they're just making decisions slower than they expected. Hopefully you'll hear some good news soon! imallama 04-25-2012, 11:45 PM Ah, I see. Thanks for the information. My stats on the GRE put me like...right in the middle between priority and regular. I'm pretty sure I'm just on the regular list though, as the rest of my stats aren't stellar. Osqueal 04-26-2012, 11:01 AM Just to clairfy I was regular admission not priority, so they definitely have started notifying some non-priority applicants. adh28 04-26-2012, 01:21 PM Just curious what are your guys stats for this cycle, waitlisted and accepted? I am applying this upcoming cycle and am a little worried! Thanks in advance for any replies imallama 05-03-2012, 05:56 PM Well, I just found out I got wait listed. For adh28, my stats were: GPA: 3.32 Pre-req: 3.0 Volunteer: 170 hours GRE: 151Q, 151V, 5.0 essay Osqueal 05-04-2012, 12:07 PM Again for adh28, my stats: GPA: 3.0 (I'm not sure about pre-req GPA but its only a little higher) Volunteer: 220 hours in 3 settings. GRE: 470 V, 670 Q, 4.5 AW & imallama, did they give you a waitlist number? I have only been told that I'm on the waitlist but not what position on the waitlist even though I have emailed them back to inquire about it. imallama 05-04-2012, 10:50 PM No number, the email said something about asking in 2 weeks. I have a friend who got in there but declined, and asked to be taken off their notifications list but they still haven't done it. And she declined back in like...December. So it seems Chapman isn't the best at responding promptly, but it's pretty understandable as it seems they had a lot of applicants and Serena must be getting a lot of inquiries. adh28 05-07-2012, 12:00 PM Thank you for the replies! And good luck! |
