I work nights so it's hard for me to show up to these things. The one night i was home to show up to an event, i tried to log in 30minutes early and it said they had reached full capacity or something and i kept on trying till the start time past.

All the events i've seen are scheduled to 7pm or 8. do you even have events at like 3pm or some time in the early evenings?

@mzblue - What time zone are you in? We schedule most of the events for the evening, since that tends to be when students are available; however, we also have some outlying events during the day or late at night to accomodate students in all time zones. Is there a specific event you're looking to attend?

Is it true that you can get coupons for an MCAT prep cours after attending certain free Kaplan events? If so, which ones? :)

I see that there is a free event for a MCAT practice exam. Are these full-length MCAT exams? If not, how long would the actual practice exam be, in terms of time and number of questions compared to the real MCAT exam?

There are FREE practice test events, for sure! (I lead some of them and LOVE it :))

While this practice exam isn't full-length, it's pretty darn close AND it presents you with a computer-based testing format that includes passages and questions in the exact style of the actual MCAT. The practice test/actual test breaks down like this:
Physical Sciences - 60 (not 70) minutes - 45 (not 52) questions
Verbal Reasoning - 50 (not 60) minutes - 45 (not 40) questions
---no writing sample---
Biological Sciences - 60 (not 70) minutes - 45 (not 52) questions
(each section presents 6 passages, not 7 as on the actual MCAT)

Combined with an awesome intro to the exam and a post-exam review of some key questions, the entire practice test experience lasts about 3 hours. You'll receive a complete score after completing your exam as well as some detailed feedback on the topics you did/didn't do well on! :D

Be sure to stick around in the online classroom after the practice test for a link to ALL the exam answers & explanations, a download-able MCAT pop quiz, a list of upcoming MCAT classes, and maybe...just maybe...even more discounts ;)

Are these free mcat practices always the same test or do they actually change? They seem to happen quite often and I'm wondering if I should wait before I take one.

Our FREE practice test events do use the same exam! :) Great question.
