I hear that OAT students will be mixed with DAT students... is that true?

I took a practice OAT exam that was offered by Kaplan at my undergrad college. During that event, the OAT and DAT test takers were placed in the same classroom, whereas the PCAT and MCAT students were in separate rooms for each test. I was also wondering the same thing that cmec429 was asking about. If we really take the prep course with DAT students, would that detract from our learning experiences?

cmec429 and xeno655,

You are both correct! We teach our course with both DAT and OAT students. The only difference between the two exams is that the DAT has a perceptual ability section while the OAT has the physics section. Every other section is the exact same!

When you take a course with Kaplan you will take all other lessons of the course with DAT students except for your physics lessons. We don't think this detracts from the learning experience at all, quite the opposite in fact! By having more students to take a course with you, you receive better dialogue among students which help to absorb material even better and in the long run get more questions right!

If either of you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask!
