Hey--

Anyone know anything about U of Vermont/Fletcher Allen program? Things like fellowship placements, how they treat their residents, patient population, etc.

Their website is pretty sparse.

Thanks

My friend is a med student at UVM and thinks the IM residents seemed pretty happy. The system there appears to be pretty friendly and laid back. No toxic interactions.

Patients are not very ethnically diverse, but there is a mix of more urban, educated Burlington/Middlebury folks and the more rural blue collar folks.

The town is lovely, and aside from long severe winters, great lifestyle: outdoor recreation, access to Montreal in 1 1/2 hrs, some nightlife, nice downtown, cost of living reasonable, some diversity due to college town. Happy
