I'm a little confused about what to say in my ERAS personal statement for the first year IM thats needed to start Neurology residency. Should I talk about my likings for IM or Neurology? What is the standard way of doing this? I mean I already submitted a personal statement to SF match with my CAS application. Should I just submit the same PS or write a different one? Please HELP!

i can't think of any reason not to use the same PS in ERAS as in the SF match application. i mean, it's the same specialty you're applying to, right? or is there a difference between ERAS neuro & SF match neuro?

Well, Yes I am applying for Neuro but thats for the SF match. ERAS application is for the PGY1 IM preliminary year. I am not sure whether I should just submit my Neuro PS since thats what I want or write a new PS for the IM prelim year.
