could i have a breakdown of the qbank blocks of questions for step 1? it would help me better gauge all the topics being covered.

Hi linkin06,

You choose your test blocks so it depends. In the beginning of your exam prep, we recommend that you do blocks of the topics you have reviewed so far, gradually adding each topic reviewed so eventually your test blocks include all topics (of random, mixed, fresh questions). This will help you become accustomed to the format of the actual exam.

Hi,

You can choose questions either by organ system or discipline. For example, disciplines include Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, etc. Organ systems include Cardiovascular, Endocrine, etc., as listed on the USMLE website:
