View Full Version : So, how did I do? itsokimadoctor 01-08-2012, 09:12 PM Is that ok to ask at the end of an interview? ceadmilefailte 01-08-2012, 09:21 PM You're joking, right? costales 01-08-2012, 09:23 PM I believe that question is on the not-to-do list. It ranks somewhere up there with "Can I see what you're writing?" Iliketoytles 01-08-2012, 09:51 PM I believe that question is on the not-to-do list. It ranks somewhere up there with "Can I see what you're writing?" But not as far up as "Can I see what you're wearing?" itsokimadoctor 01-08-2012, 09:52 PM You're joking, right? I said the same thing to the person with whom I had this dispute with. I believe that question is on the not-to-do list. It ranks somewhere up there with "Can I see what you're writing?" Thank you for the clarification. UTsksk 01-08-2012, 09:53 PM Is that ok to ask at the end of an interview? This question reminds me of tv shows where the person bombs and then asks "Do you validate parking?" FutureDrB 01-09-2012, 06:11 PM I'd be safe and stick with questions like: "So... in OMM lab, the girls don't wear shirts right?" Rollo 01-09-2012, 06:32 PM The reason its not ok to ask that is because you won't gain anything out of it. Most people are too afraid to tell you to your face that you sucked so there is no way for you to figure out if the response you get from them (i.e. you did fine) is genuine or fake. At worst, it will make you look insecure and some interviewers won't like that. Just don't do it. It's also like asking your date at the end of the date, "So, next time I will bring the lube and you bring the condoms?" Doobey Doob 01-09-2012, 06:58 PM hmm well I know a guy who claimed that he asked the interviewer how he looked on is application and if he had a chance. To our suprise, the interviewer said that he had nothing to worry about and that the interview was just protocol! TexasDocGibby 01-10-2012, 05:04 PM So after the interview it's not cool to ask when I will be receiving my full tuition scholarship in the mail? itsokimadoctor 01-10-2012, 08:02 PM hmm well I know a guy who claimed that he asked the interviewer how he looked on is application and if he had a chance. To our suprise, the interviewer said that he had nothing to worry about and that the interview was just protocol! That was her argument. She did get into the school where she asked her interviewers this question. Just don't do it. It's also like asking your date at the end of the date, "So, next time I will bring the lube and you bring the condoms?" Quite the analogy lol. absolutdokta 01-11-2012, 09:41 AM Is that ok to ask at the end of an interview? http://cdn.hotstockmarket.com/0/0b/0bb69f87_954-not-sure-if-serious.jpeg DrRedhead 01-13-2012, 03:53 PM I have interviewed for various jobs before and been the interviewer--in my interview, as I have with others, I ask "what objections do you have to ___________?" In this case "accepting me into PCOM". This is not something to say if you are not prepared to overcome whatever objections or issues they may throw at you. In my case, I knew it was my MCAT score, which I had already addressed, but it gave me a chance to reiterate my points and to tie everything together. They actually said "we're giving you an honest answer because your question was so bold", but again, I would not say this unless you are really able to predict their outcome and overcome their issues. |
