This is a place to talk about/console/inform each other about what's going on with the waitlist at UCSF this cycle. I started out as #42 but recently got bumped to #39 (after the two-week period in which we had to confirm the spot). I figure this means only 3 people ahead of me declined the waitlist.

Anybody have any insight as to how far down we could reasonably hope to get off the waitlist? Thanks :)

I was in the top ten and only moved up one spot...disappointing.

Got the call on Feb 28th, was number 1 on the waitlist

#19 on the waitlist~ can anyone say anything about my chances? Am I allowed to accept another school in the meantime~?

Last year they took 21 people from the waitlist, up to #37 I think. Similar things have happened in the past. I would say you have a relatively good chance. And yes, you can accept other schools.
