I've heard absolutely nothing from the DC programs... is it fair to assume that I won't get an interview from any of these programs? Also, does anyone know anything about these programs? And which one is the strongest?

Heard from Georgetown about 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything from GW since they sent out an email saying they were waiting on Dean's letters before making decisions, but they've obviously had those for a couple weeks now, so I'm assuming they've at least contacted the 1st cut.

i got an interview from georgetown in early november, and i heard that GW has not yet sent out any invitations. as far as the strongest of the dc programs, it's either georgetown/whc or gw, but it's hard to say which one.

I called Georgetown yesterday and they said they have sent out all invitations already. As per the residency coordinator, if you haven't received an invitation, it's safe to assume that you won't in the future. Hope this helps.

I actually heard that all of the DC programs are relatively poor. But I guess I would go with Georgetown if given the choice.

I heard DC and esp. Gtown are struggling with money issues. I don't know if this is just a system-wide hospital thing that doesn't affect ophtho too much or if the ophtho departments are struggling too as a result. Anyone who has already been and heard the spin from the programs feel free to speak up.
