Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the University of Minnesota and/or Indiana University. Any details on the quality of the programs, etc? Also, does anyone know anything about NYU? I know that they have been a strong program in the past but I have heard some negative things lately. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

One of the chief residents at Indiana gave me the following blurb about his program, for whatever it's worth...

The program here in Indy is good and bad. The exposure to path is phenomenal because this is the only big med center in the state. Surgical exposure is moderate. We graduate with a more than adequate amount of cataracts. The peds and oculoplastics program here are ranked among the best in the country. If you are interested in either, Indy is a great place to be!

He never really explained what the "bad" was.
