SO....

We should all be pretty close to finishing up interviews soon. I was curious to know what programs people are seriously thinking about ranking highly, especially in the NY/NJ area! Let's all chime in on this one.....

My choices (in no particular order):
Mt. Sinai, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Cornell, NYU, Einstein

Anyone else???

any thoughts on the NY Methodist program? any one interview there or know anything about it?

I am in favor of the Univ of Fl programs and Washingon Hosp Center in DC. I was really turned off by UMD.

I also had mixed feelings about UMD, just had an uneasy feeling about the interview day I had.

What did you like about Washington Hospital Center? I interview there in the coming weeks.

I liked their facilities and the residents. The biggest pro was the overall interview day in addition to the residency director's attitude.

UMD just seemed like a long BS session with residents having relatively no say in the selection process

Residents at UMDNJ actually have a great deal of say in the selection process. I will say, however, that it's definitely not the place for everyone! If you don't want to work hard, deal with patients plagued by countless social issues and live in a community known for crime and drug abuse, then keep looking. I can personally appreciate the clinical training an institution like UMD has to offer (which is why it is still on my list despite not having the reputation of other programs I'm still considering). Too bad some of you didn't enjoy your interview.....

My feeling about UMD was that they are more interested in board scores then the actual person behind them. I have really enjoyed both LSU programs and MCG. Anyone else interview there?

Hi guys! Good to hear from you again. I am still half way through my interviews...and am tired!! but just have to keep going.
Did anyone interview at Suny downstate in brooklyn? I interviewed at Cornell, it went well , really liked the program.
Also interviewed at Washington hosp center, the program was ok, definitely think one is well trained there, facilities are quite nice and the PD is really nice guy, but dont think I fit in ....
I liked it a lot in Tufts univ - Boston...
Still have Hopkins, Suny, univ of connecticut and Miami.. .any input on these programs???

Does anyone want to rank these for me and let me know why you chose that particular order???
