Can people comment specifically on how far down rank lists particular programs go? There was a thread earlier on either Hopkins or NYU going down 10 to fill 8 spots. Any other info out there?

Hopkins going down to 11 on the rank list to fill 8 spots last year was an atypical match. During most years, Hopkins can go down in the mid-20s to fill all eight spots. How far down the rank list programs go will vary from year to year. At Iowa, we usually fill 5 spots from the top 15. In some years, Iowa can fill the 5 spots from the top 10 candidates. Again, this fluctuates from year to year.
